Dawn Paletta, PA-C, is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and has been providing dermatology care to families of our community since 2006. Her formal education and training include:
- University of Florida (Gainesville, FL) – BS, Therapeutic Recreation
- Emory University (Atlanta, GA) – MS, Physician Assistant Studies
Dawn began her career in healthcare after receiving a Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation in 1994 from the University of Florida. She served as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist at inpatient psychiatric hospitals treating adolescent, adult, geriatric, and drug addicted patients. Upon moving to Georgia, she earned a competitive spot at the Emory University Physician Assistant program, where she graduated in 2004 with high honors.
Quick with a smile and a joke, Dawn is a firm believer in the connection between mind, body and spirit. She is a Certified Holistic Health Practitioner (CHHP) and certified in integrative medicine (BCDIM). She has been a Fellow of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) and Georgia Dermatology Physician Assistants (GDPA) since 2006.
Dawn and her husband enjoy spending time with family at the beach, on cruises, hiking, playing music together, and pampering cats while cheering for their favorite college team – GO GATORS!
